On Going Backwards to Go Forwards

Today I unstitch in order to restitch.

I put in a lot of work on a piece and once it was done I decided I did not like it. It wasn’t what the piece wanted to say. I want this piece to be a success. So I am spending several hours ripping out stitches I have already sewn in order to make this piece shine the way it wants to. It looks like I’m not moving forward. But I really am.
