On Doing Something Complicated
I’m back on the art quilt today, and I’m teaching myself new skills. I love a challenge!
Raw edge applique and using fabrics for shading — I’ve seen it done and I know I can do it. This is another new (for me) technique and I am teaching myself by watching others. It’s exactly like this quote I found by William Vollman:
“The most important and enjoyable thing in life is doing something that’s a complicated, tricky problem for you that you don’t know how to solve.”
Well, that’s me — and I’m figuring it out!
