On Finding My Groove

When I was in college I had a professor tell me I had a compellingly unique way of looking at life.

He wasn’t exactly being kind or warm-hearted.

In fact, he was rather annoyed because I didn’t fit into the groove that the other students so easily slid into.

He did his best to get me to fit into the expectations. Sadly, it didn’t work and he gave up trying. He wasn’t the only one. For years I suffered as I tried to do it on my own. Decades later I became an artist and found the perfect groove had been waiting for me all along.
