On DarkWind

I finished DarkWind!

DarkWind is a study in space, movement, and texture. It depicts air and gives a sense of floating upwards.

It is even better than I had envisioned it! I should never have doubted the quilt. It directed me on where it wanted to go and how it wanted to be made: the fabrics, the colors, the textures, the quilting.

I am amazed at this quilt. It is so beautiful. There are no photos that can do justice to the grandeur and beauty that its physical presence displays. I’m running out of words to describe how I feel about this piece.

I am glad I am done with it. I am glad I made it. I am glad I had the challenging journey with it that I did. It is more than feeling proud of it. I am glad it exists as part of this world.
