On Being Prepared

“Chance favors the prepared mind.” “Be prepared.” “Preparation is key to success.”

I learned these aphorisms later in my life and have abided by them as best as possible, in everything, but especially in quilting. I have to gather all my materials to build a quilt. I have to prepare my energy for it. I have to schedule time for it.

I wish I had known this earlier in my life…
