On Keeping Calm

Some days require a deep breath. A moment to collect oneself from the hustle and bustle, from the expectations, the frustrations, the tears.

Days when clothes just don't fit right, when the milk sours the coffee, when the forks were put in with the spoons, when the sun is too bright and the air too hot or maybe it's the other way around.

On those days, if anyone else were to tell me to calm down, I would hit the roof. But when it is my inner self that says to me, "Keep calm and quilt on," all is right with the world.
