On Saying YES to Yourself

Creativity is about saying YES to new opportunities and ways to express thoughts, ideas, or feelings.

Quite some time ago, I discovered that I work best when I am able to create with infectious and boundless enthusiasm for my own work.

I learned that there is no wrong way to create, and I found myself saying YES to new and more ways of being creative.

Creativity pushes boundaries, sometimes our own and sometimes those of the status quo.

Making art solely to please others can stifle opportunities. It’s difficult to be around people who say “no” in one way or another. Don’t join them in saying no to yourself. Tuning them out is necessary so that you can say YES to yourself.
